LENZO'S SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

Over the four years LENZO has been operating, we have become painfully aware of the cost of many events on the environment. As our styling business has rapidly grown, we have seen first-hand the amount of unnecessary waste and emissions generated from running events. So we have implemented a Sustainability Policy in order to address a few of the issues we have seen, and effect positive change within the industry.

We're starting small, but we have big ambitions in regard to not only our own environmental impact, but the impact of the events industry at large. If you are a business, Not-For-Profit, or charity who wants to join us on our mission, please get in contact with us at hello@lenzo.com.au.

Aim: To usher the event’s industry into a new era of sustainability-focused practices

Vision: We will encourage sustainability within the events industry by engaging with the public and our suppliers, and lead by example with our own styling and events management processes.

Policies:

Event Styling

  1. Utilise our sustainable event décor protocol for each event
    • Reduce or ideally eliminate non-biodegradable single use plastics
    • Hire as many of the decorations as possible
    • Ensure custom built items are reusable
  2. Implement waste management protocols into our styled events and reduce waste output
  3. Engage with local and sustainable suppliers in our events

E-Commerce

  1. Phase out selling single use, non-biodegradable plastics on our website

  2. Implementing waste management protocols into our styled events & reducing waste output

    • Work with venues, caterers and clients to ensure proper recycling systems are in place
    • Ensure adequate bins are available for guests and wait staff
    • Reduce or eliminate single use items, and replacing them with hired goods
  3. Engaging with local and sustainable suppliers for our events

    • For each event, find suppliers who are as local to the event location as possible
    • Engage with suppliers and sub-contractors on their own sustainability policies
    • Privilege suppliers with robust sustainability policies over those without
  4. Phase out selling single use plastics on our website

    • Phase 1: Engage with retailers on their product selections, and encourage them to phase out selling of single use, non-biodegradable plastics
