PAPERplayground & Something White team up to style a kid’s Halloween party!
Ghostly greetings to you all! Please park all brooms at the door and get ready for a fang-tastic editorial as LENZO presents to you a collaborative effort from the creative minds of PAPERplayground and Something White: A Spooktacular Halloween soiree!
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s film, ‘The Birds,’ this Halloween party was loosely based on the 1963 classic that featured killer ravens and crows. While no animals were harmed during the styling of this incredible shoot, we think Something White and PAPERplayground slayed the entire setup!
Set at Butchers Daughter (which is aptly located in Crows Nest, NSW!), Something White and PAPERplayground drew from a traditional Halloween palette of black and white, while introducing softer tones of grape, lavender, ghoulish grey, and pumpkin spice.
The result? A festive yet elegant kids Halloween party with a touch of moody atmosphere for good measure! We hope you love these images as much as we do!
An intimate dinner was set up for five lucky little ghouls, with a beautiful balloon backdrop by Floating Designs at the entrance as well as behind the table. The table was laid out with gorgeous hand-dyed ombré napkins by Something White, and cute tableware & cake stands by Pretty Pedestals.
The theme was incorporated into every little detail, from the custom drink stirrers to the table setting (how cute is that mini nest?!) and the desserts. Of course, the paperie was designed by none other than PAPERplayground. We #LOVE!
And of course, it’s just not a party without some delectable treats! Can we take a moment to appreciate how much effort went into each and every one of these incredible desserts for this kid’s Halloween party!?
Those chocolate strawberries, meringues, and graveyard edible dessert cups were created by Opal Rains.
And these blueberry cheesecake macaron stacks were designed by Dous Dolce.
The doughnuts were lovingly created by Sweets With Love, and those panna cotta cups were baked by Desserts By Joey.
The chocolate gems and cake pops? La Petite Pops! #IRRESISTIBLE
The pièce de résistance of the party? We’d have to say this cake by Scarlet Jade Austin. We love the play on all the textures - especially the coconut shards!
And how cute did our little ghouls look, dressed in Tutu Du Monde? The costumes were complemented with masterful makeup efforts by LSFX MUA.
Don't forget the most important thing about celebrating Halloween: the free candy! We love these handmade party loot bags, created using - wait for it - MILK CARTONS by PAPERplayground!
LENZO loves a party tip: what is Something White’s?
We were lucky to receive not one but FIVE party tips from Brooke (after all, she knows a thing or two about styling successful events!) Here’s her words of wisdom:
- “Hire a planner!”
- “Personalise each event and highlight items of special significance.”
- “Make things easy by simplification: less is more! Too many options can make you feel stressed and overwhelmed.”
- “Avoid stress by planning”
- “Remember to relax and enjoy!”
If you’re looking for kids (or even adult!) Halloween party ideas for this October 31, we hope this shoot inspired you to go out and recreate your own! And, if you’re looking for fun Halloween decorations online, you can find it right here on the LENZO marketplace.
We hope you have a BOO-tiful Halloween!
Love, LENZO x
