WHAT YOU NEED
STEP ONE: Pre-heat oven to 175oC (FF oven). Spray two heart shaped 6-hole donut pans with baking spray, and lightly dust with flour.
STEP TWO: In a large bowl, mix sifted flour and desiccated coconut and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together yoghurt, milk, sugar, egg and oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and fold until incorporated.
STEP THREE: Transfer the mixture into a large zip lock or piping bag, and fill approximately halfway full. Do not overfill, or the donuts will have muffin like tops.
STEP FOUR: Bake for 9 – 11 minutes and transfer onto a cooling rack.
STEP FIVE:While the donuts are cooling, place chocolate melts in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 25 second intervals until melted, stirring in between to avoid overheating. When completely melted, add desired food colouring and dip donuts into the chocolate. If adding sprinkles, ensure to put on straight away, as the chocolate doesn’t take long to dry.
