A two-day, three-part wedding celebration at Villa Kula in WA
Every so often we stumble across a wedding venue that is so #INCRED that it takes our breath away: and that’s exactly what happened when we laid eyes upon Villa Kula. Located in Western Australia, the VK Tent House was transformed into a truly extraordinary three-part Indian celebration last September.
Bollywood-inspired dancers. Henna tattoo artists. Fresh flowers and rich colours. The couple’s Indian culture and Villa Kula’s unwavering determination to fulfil their every whim made for a winning combination.

The Henna Party
Beginning on Friday evening, Villa Kula’s immaculately white headquarters was completely transformed into a vibrantly bold and exquisitely layered Henna Party for around 3oo guests. The bride’s own business, Profresh, was front and centre with literally 1000 of fresh flowers in fuchsia, red, and orange, styled by the very talented Rebecca Grace and her team from Natural Art Flowers.
Guests danced all night and enjoyed a fabulous array of traditional Indian fare + bespoke mocktails from the bride’s and groom’s personal chefs (who were flown in from Sri Lanka!)
Overnight, the space was again transformed for the next day: a traditional Indian ceremony with a beautifully decorated mandap to marry under. 300 guests watched on as Janki and Shaun formally became husband and wife.
Once all guests departed the ceremony, the third and final transformation of Tent House began and this time it was even more breath-taking. The reception was a formal sit-down dinner with literally 1000 of pink and white flowers, candles and tea-lights en masse. The caterers were the bride and groom’s own private chefs, who were flown in from Sri Lanka.
LENZO loves a party tip - what's Villa Kula’s?
“At Villa Kula, styling and furniture are a huge part of an event for people to feel welcome in a new environment. Flowers and lights to set the atmosphere is the key. Add music and some entertainment to get the party started and that’s a wrap!”
It goes without saying that the amount of effort that went into styling each milestone moment of this three-part wedding is a testament to how above and beyond Villa Kula will go to make any couple’s wedding day unlike any other.
With such a gorgeous setup for this traditional Indian wedding, we hope to see more Western Australians celebrating love at Villa Kula in 2019 and beyond!
Love, LENZO x
