Weddings these days are increasingly becoming grander affairs, with not only the couple-to-be wanting to impress their guests, but also everyone else scrolling through their social media feeds.
Sometimes this makes it more daunting to create something #AMAZING and unique for your wedding, so our LENZO top tip is to always add a little bit of DIY magic!
For our recent Love is Love Wedding Editorial, we created a painted backdrop with Haymes, that perfectly tied into our pastelised rainbow theme.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
STEP ONE: Measure the space you want the backdrop to cover, then go to your hardware store and get a piece of MDF cut to size
STEP TWO: Lay out wood and mark 25cm sections with pen against the longer edge of the wood STEP THREE: On each second section, stick down masking tape on the diagonal. Note: stick on the inner line for each second section.
STEP FOUR: With the roller, roll paint in between every second taped section, and leave to dry for 5 minutes before applying a second coat. STEP FIVE: Leave to dry for 5 minutes, then peel off masking tape. Leave to dry for 15 minutes until touch dry. STEP SIX: Mark down masking tape on the inner edge of the painted section and then repeat step four and five.
STEP SEVEN: With the mounting tape, line the edge of the area you wish to stick the backdrop too. Peel away and then stick down!
Your backdrop is done – so get ready to prance down your aisle and have the wedding of your insta-worthy dreams!
