Tonight on The Edit, we share with you another amazing DIY from Dutch blog Zilverblauw. This time we teach you how to create a simple yet stunning tassel wall piece, which is a perfect addition for any Christmas event or can even be used as a more permanent interior feature.
The hanger takes its inspiration from the very popular macrame hangers that we see so much of, and just makes the idea a little bit more special + fun! Keep reading below if you too want to make one of these beauties, and if you have time, check out our previous Christmas Wreath DIY also by Zilverblauw.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Old tea towel or fabric
- A rod
- Various colours of tassels
- Hot glue gun
STEP ONE: Cut your tea towel or fabric into a third and start by glueing the tassels onto the bottom section of this.
STEP TWO: Layer up the tassels on top of one another then cut them into your desired shape. We are really loving the Zilverblauw team's overlapping triangles!
STEP THREE: Once cut, roll the rest of the tea towel over the rod then tie string onto both ends. And ta daa - you now are the proud creator of a showstopping wall piece!
