Tonight on The Edit, we get the team at Bridal Musings to share their wisdom on creating a #STUNNING floral heart.
We are loving how simple this DIY is and think it could work perfectly as a centre piece for a Mother's Day lunch or a Valentine's Day dinner, or even just as an alternative for a bouquet. We definitely wouldn't be opposed to receiving one of these from our partners...hint hint, nudge nudge ;)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Heart Shaped Oasis
- A Mix of #BeautifulBlooms - Bridal Musings suggest peonies, David Austin roses, cabbage roses and/or carnations work really well for this piece.
STEP ONE: Cut your stems approximately three inches from the head, as you want them to fit into the oasis without sticking out of the top.
STEP TWO: Place the blooms into your desired position, by adding the biggest flowers first. Also, make sure you start from the top and work your way down.
Try to only touch the stems, as the petals are easily damaged or discoloured if handled."
STEP FOUR: Check your process and make sure that all the colours and sizes of the flowers are working nicely together.
STEP FIVE: Fix into place and make them sit evenly by gently adjusting there petals.
STEP SIX: Viola - you have a magical floral heart!Love LENZO X
