DIY HALLOWEEN DONUT PUMPKINS

September 29, 2015
DIY HALLOWEEN DONUT PUMPKINS

LENZO likes to be prepared for the festive season and to get us in the mood for Halloween, we got some help from our American counterparts at 'The DIY Playbook' - who take Halloween inspiration to a whole new level.

Today, we will be combining this holiday favourite with the #onpoint theme of donuts! Not only do they look good enough to eat, but they have us super excited to get scary.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • A craft pumpkin - look for them at places like Lincraft + Spotlight
  • Acrylic paint
  • Lots of paint brushes - especially some thinner ones!

METHOD:

STEP ONE: Once you have everything you need, start by painting on the donut’s “frosting.” We did white (vanilla), brown (chocolate), and pink (strawberry) + make sure you just paint the top portion of the pumpkin and not the whole thing!

STEP TWO: Once the frosting is dry, it’s time to add our favourite part…the sprinkles! Remember that these sprinkles don't have to be perfect and to have fun with it and add as many or as few as you want!

STEP THREE: Voila! It really is that easy - and now you have the #cutest Halloween decorations going around!
