This is such a cute alternative for a birthday cake if you are doing more so a brunch or breakfast party, and is also a great way to get your kids to stop talking for a minute while they enjoy this yummy creation! If you too want to have the #SweetestOfTeeth, then continue reading below:
What You Will Need:
- Waffle iron
- Non-stick baking spray
- Disposable decorating bags
- 4 cups of bisquick baking mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of oil
- 2 cans of whipped cream
- 1 cup buttercream icing
- Your favorite Soda of Choice - Jenny used Zevia, but you might find it difficult sourcing in Australia.
- Sprinkles, sprinkles, sprinkles!
STEP ONE: Preheat waffle iron to medium heat, and begin to combine Bisquick, oil, eggs and soda in a mixing bowl.
STEP TWO: Fold in rainbow sprinkles.
STEP THREE: Scoop about 2 cups batter onto hot waffle iron. Cook for approximately 3 minutes.
STEP FOUR: Remove waffle from iron and place on cooling rack from 10 minutes and repeat with the remaining batter.
STEP FIVE: To assemble the cake, place one waffle on desired cake stand at a time, in between filling with the whipped cream.
STEP SIX: Pour buttercream in a piping bag and working from the outer edges of the top of the waffle cae and begin drizzling the icing down the cake.
STEP SEVEN: Top cake with ice cream or whipped cream and decorate with whatever takes your fancy! And ta -da, a waffle cake of your very own!
