A party celebration fit for the king of the jungle
Well, here’s a fresh (excuse the pun!) theme for all you mums out there planning your little one's upcoming birthday: an urban jungle party! We’re out here vibin’ this lush greenery party by stylish super-mum Stephanie from The Party Style Co in a major way!
This party really gives a new meaning to the term, 'concrete jungle!' Oh, to be a kid again… #wheredreamsaremadeof
This tropical paradise overflowing with fresh greenery created the perfect contrast against the industrial warehouse function space for Stephanie's son Marco and 34 of his mini guests at his 3rd birthday. With natural light emanating from all angles and accentuating the textured cement floors and exposed raw brick, we just have one question for Stephanie: where was our invite to this incredible party!?
Stephanie tells us that whilst planning Marco's birthday, she was inspired by her favourite Melbourne laneway café, the amazing raw backdrop provided by the Topiary Function Space at Bells Hotel, and – wait for it - the Bunnings Warehouse nursery (of all places!)
Marco’s love of roaming down the aisles and admiring all the greenery sparked Stephanie’s brilliant vision. It just goes to show that a great stylist can be struck by a moment of inspo just about any time or anywhere...
To celebrate her little guy’s 3rd birthday, Stephanie enlisted the help of a great network of event suppliers in Melbourne to create something truly epic. We are beyond impressed with the efforts of all those involved, and can’t decide which of these styling elements is our favourite!
…Could it be the giant wire ‘3’ from Pretty Diamonds Events?
… or the massive black balloon installation from The Confetti Room that was suspended from the ceiling to the floor?
… is it that personalised neon sign from Neon Garden Event Hire sitting pretty against the mesh food station?
We just can’t choose… maybe we’re too distracted by these amazing sweets! Marco and his little guests were definitely spoilt for choice. We can spot doughnuts, macarons, tarts, a cake, cookies, cupcakes, chocolate bars, and cake pops! Did someone say desserts for days? #WHATAMOUTHFUL (literally!)
With 34 kids on the guests list, what better way to keep the little ones entertained than by providing fun beats, a gigantic ball pit, and soft play equipment? This allowed the kids to run wild while the mums and dads snuck away for a much-deserved and uninterrupted drink!
LENZO loves a party tip, and Stephanie bestowed her styling wisdom on us:
“The first two things that you should always do is a) set a realistic budget for the event, and b) write a list of items that are must-haves for the day. This will help when researching suppliers and purchasing styling elements.”
We completely agree! With so many hosts not knowing the true cost of a kid’s party, the final price can add up and come as a shock if the budget hasn't been factored in!
Happy birthday, Marco! We have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more mothers taking a leaf out of this styling book in 2019..
Love, LENZO x
