Introduce yourself and The Confetti Bar.
Hey guys! Jessica here from The Confetti Bar: a magical, boutique confetti shop where we specialize in custom and unique confetti mixes for all of life’s celebrations. (Because we believe happiness should be celebrated!)
Why did you start The Confetti Bar?
Confetti…it’s like the quintessential symbol for celebrations, right? It’s colorful and whimsical and fun and magical – everything you generally want a party to be. So why not really make it something special? Well that’s what I thought when I decided to start The Confetti Bar!
What gap in the party market does The Confetti Bar fill?
When I started this business back in 2013, I found there really wasn’t any sort of specialty (i.e. pretty, fun, and amazing) confetti in the market. I like to think outside the box and create artistic confetti mixes that are dynamic, colorful, and fun. Especially with our custom confetti, we’re able to add that little extra something to a celebration that is totally unique!
Why should The Confetti Bar be invited to a party?
Because happiness should be celebrated!
What do you find captivating about the world of events?
I love that each event is unique — while there are tons of birthdays and weddings, each and every one is special in its own way. Each one celebrates someone or something different and I love all the happiness that surrounds each event.
Who are your go-to suppliers?
I actually get supplies from all sorts of different places — I look for quality, unique, and specialty materials that can be used to make my confetti mixes that much more special.
What is your go-to party tip?
Confetti goes with everything. ;)
What is in your party purse?
Confetti! Duh! Haha
Also mini disco balls and iridescent wrapping paper.
You are hosting a dinner party and you can only invite three guests – dead or alive. Who are they?
My dad and both my maternal grandparents. They all passed away a few years ago and never got to see me start this business, so I’d love to catch them up on all that’s happened.
What is your go-to party outfit?
Anything with sequins + disco ball earrings.
Describe your dance floor style.
Nonexistent haha. Seriously, I don’t really dance. Like ever. Is that weird?
What story will be told about The Confetti Bar the day after the party?
Hmm…I’m not sure exactly, but I hope it’s a story full of smiles that has a happy ending.
