Break the exciting news with an elegant gender reveal theme
As much as LENZO appreciates a punchy pop of millennial pink, we’ve always got space in our hearts for pastels. Having already hosted our very own pastel bridal shower earlier this year, we fully embraced this season’s on-trend colour palette in our most recent editorial: a gender reveal party.
Incorporating baby pink, mauve, periwinkle and lavender into all elements – from the decorations to the food, florals, furniture and invitations – we styled an elegant gender reveal party for an expectant (and glowing!) mum-to-be. Shot by revered lifestyle + wedding photographer Elsa Campbell at The Stables of Como, its white walls provided the perfect backdrop in which our pastel palette popped.
Now, this shoot is very close to our hearts, as our very own Founding Director of LENZO is just about ready to pop with her own baby boy! If you’re planning to host a gender reveal party for your sister, best friend, or cousin, find your inspiration here and shop your fave looks online!
We set the scene with an intimate high tea luncheon, with a table arranged with gold cutlery, crystal glassware, pink tea cups, and cake stands by Laa Laa Event Hire. Our model Nikka dressed in gorgeous maternity clothing by Bae The Label - we think she's the most stylish mum-to-be... don't you agree?
Of course, fresh flowers add a feminine touch to any event space, which is why we enlisted the help of none other than Flowers by Brett Matthew John to decorate our table and space.
Our glowing mum-to-be was spoilt by the tasty desserts handcrafted by The Sweet Event Cupcakes. How indulgent!
We were thrilled to collaborate again with the Queen of Acrylics – Sketch & Etch Creative – who incorporated this oh-so-very on-trend element into the menu, place cards (in the style of baby building blocks – how unique!), and personalised cocktail mixers.
Pickawall creatively used patterned decals as an alternative to a table cloth, and also the backdrop. Check out the #CELEBRATINGBABES acrylic signage by Sketch & Etch Creative – LOVE!
At LENZO, we love luxe, which is why we had to incorporate Valiant Events’ latest furniture collection into our editorial. There’s really nothing that exudes elegance quite like velvet…
And have you ever seen a prettier balloon installation? It was put together by none other than Boutique Balloons! They never fail to impress with their incredible displays – we especially love how the team managed to blend five varying shades together into one stunning and cohesive arrangement.
We think those suspended flowers also add to the space!
When invited to gender reveal parties or baby showers, it’s etiquette to arrive with a gift in hand. So, naturally we showered the mum-to-be with only the best: boutique gift hampers from The Hamper Emporium.
We covered all bases by offering a baby girl gift hamper…
…And a baby boy gift hamper!
And of course, we got something for the mum-to-be as well – I mean, who can say no to gourmet chocolates and pretzels? Yum!
Just don’t forget to include a card with your gift-giving – our top pick is this cheeky ‘Oh Baby!’ card from Palm & Pine Party Co!
And finally, for the fun part – the gender reveal! If you’re looking for a unique way to reveal the gender of your baby to your family and friends, a balloon pop is an epic way to break the news. We love how this Palm & Pine Party Co black gender reveal balloon bursts open with an abundance of pink confetti. Too fun!
We wish all the mums-to-be out there who are preparing for their little miracle to arrive a happy and safe delivery!
Love, LENZO x
