Love the look and feel of a rustic wedding celebration? Then you’ll love this recent wedding at The Farm Byron Bay by Three Blue Ducks. With all the elements you’d expect at a charming countryside estate – including organic foods, fresh air, and a stunning natural backdrop – it was the perfect place to host an intimate wedding.

LENZO loved the mood so much that it made us rethink our lavish (imaginary) wedding plans! Scroll down to witness the magic of Three Blue Ducks…

Stephanie from Three Blue Ducks wanted to create a food theme that was centred around rustic, simplistic and family-oriented dishes, and we think she nailed it perfectly! All local ingredients were used to create fresh and tasty dishes that were also sustainable.

The key is to incorporate as much of the authentic woodlife as possible – use plenty of fresh blooms as well as timber to bring out the rustic style.

Food can make or break an event, so we asked Three Blue Ducks what are the three must-have food elements for any event?

“Grazing tables – guests LOVE to graze! Also, charred broccoli with pickled chillies – it’s a nice quick meal and adds some freshness. And of course, chocolate ganache + burnt orange to finish (because who doesn't love chocolate?)” “rustic

Naked cake designs are still very on trend, and we love this simple two-tier cake, surrounded by deliciously ripe strawberries – yum!

We also wanted to know what are the three biggest catering/dessert trends around currently?

“Festive popcorn as a late-night snack, as well as a big dessert station with options to build your own dessert (who needs a wedding cake when you can have meringue, ganache, & bread and butter pudding!?)

Finally, a dessert cocktail instead of cake is definitely taking up more room in the market at the moment – it’s perfect for those who love a good cocktail, and prefer to dance the night away with an espresso martini or a negroni in their hand instead of dessert. It's definitely a fun way to finish a meal!” “rustic

LENZO loves a party tip - what's Three Blue Ducks’?

“Wear a tutu! It’s impossible to have a bad night if you are wearing a tutu! Also, bring back the old-school RnB hits to bring everyone on the D-Floor!” We like the sound of that!

Love, LENZO x
