A modern and muted daytime brunch for mum-to-be
At LENZO, we love an all-out affair, but every once in a while, we like to channel our inner-minimalist. We’ve been paying close attention to what you’ve been asking for, which is why our latest editorial is an achievable daytime baby shower affair!
Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” and after our recent editorial, we’d have to agree!
Captured by LENZO photographer Kas Richards at The Kettle Black, we styled an intimate brunch set-up for mum-to-be and her closest girlfriends. Keeping true to the maxim that less is sometimes more, the all-white space with its marble terrazzo accents provided the perfect blank canvas in which to feature natural cane elements, tokens of blush, and hints of gold.
The result? A truly gorgeous and ethereal baby shower that won’t break the bank! Just see for yourself…
To add our feminine touch to the space, we decorated the tablescape and bar settings with fresh, seasonal flowers by Fleur De Lis. The addition of pampas grass, roses, and single cotton branches were clustered together to create an airy and delicate overall vibe.
The finishing touches to the décor were these thin gold vases and candles by The Hire Co.
Above, we filled the ceiling with floating balloons and hanging paper fans in varying shades of golds, pinks, and peaches, courtesy of Kura & Freya Party Couture. For an enhanced effect, the giant white balloons were filled with confetti. We think it adds an extra dimension to the space, don’t you think?
The table was a joint creation by Foote and Flame, who provided the acrylic signage, menus, and baby drink stirrers upon our styling direction, brushed gold cutlery by The Hire Co, and glassware, dishes, and seating from the latest collection by Place Settings.
And doesn’t our mum-to-be look positively glowing in her oh-so-trendy outfits by Bae the Label? She was treated to not one but three outfit changes, complete with a sash from KF Party Couture.
Couture Bakes pulled out all the stops create those delectable desserts, which included pink macarons, tartlets, meringue pops, and a two-tier cake complete with gold flakes.
And of course, a baby shower is all about honouring the lady of the hour! The Hamper Emporium kindly gifted our mum-to-be with not one but two generous hampers – one for the arrival of a boy and one for a girl.
This is one lucky baby! We love that their gift hampers cater for both mum and bub – and why not? They should both be spoilt!
(We spot that cheeky Moet bottle waiting to be shared … after the bub’s arrival, of course!)
It’s often the little things that enhance a party, and we are all about that ‘Hey Baby’ neon sign from Neon Collective. It’s the perfect backdrop to the bar setting, where guests could enjoy fresh mocktails.
And finally, to end the festivities on a high, there’s nothing more exciting than revealing the gender of your baby with a giant gender reveal balloon!
3… 2… 1… POP!
