Tonight on The Edit, Emily Jabour AKA The Party Bebe graces us with a beautiful butterfly tea party held at Pottery Barn Kids stores nationally.
Inspired by a favourite nursery rhyme of Emily’s children, “Flitter flutter butterfly, flying in the big blue sky," Emily set out to create an interactive in-store event that not only showcased the GORGEOUS range of Pottery Barn Kids furniture and decor, but also to teach the children how to create DELICIOUS tea party treats!
For the Melbourne party, Emily invited Andrea from A.T Bakes to help the children decorate delicious buttermilk swirl cupcakes, followed by The Party Bebe herself teaching the kids to make two quick and easy party treats- butterfly fairy bread and watermelon wands.
The little guests then got to enjoy their hard earned treats at story time, as well as pink lemonade, fruit platters and babyccinos before going home with not only full bellies, but FABULOUS Pottery Barn gift bags, with each child receiving their own butterfly cookie wand made by Burnt Butter Cakes.
When it came to The Party Bebe's number one party tip, she thought preparation was key:
"Interactive events are fantastic for kids as little ones love to be busy! However it is so important to have as much pre-prepared as possible."
And we definitely agree!
Love LENZO xx
